I picked up Vick's car without too many challenges and headed out of the car park. It was after 9pm so I expected it to be fairly quiet on the roads.

The transfer arrangements seemed a little odd at BUD. I went direct to the scanners that you can see on the right hand side. I had to stir the team of three into action.

Once through passport control, I took the lift up 1 level to the Arrivals Lounge which is the best place to get a shower. I definitely needed to freshen up.

So not an auspicious start for my new passport. I'll persevere with it and ultimately I am not sure what I can actually do about these problems at the T5 automated kiosks.

I woke up early, feeling quite queasy after eating so much late afternoon and into the evening; perhaps combined with the 3 glasses of champers I was forced to consume.
