I jogged to passport control and on the way had to traverse a lot of passengers walking down the corridor leading to Arrivals and Flight Connections. I wondered how much of a queue I was going to have to deal with.

Afer arriving into Gate D16, I walked around to the main gate area and joined the short priority boarding queue for getting back on the aircraft.

I had a funny journey back to Arrivals. The guy that was sitting next to on the flight from Boston said goodbye to me as I jogged off to catch the train back to Arrivals.

I'd heard stories about it raking 20 mins to walk from Terminal B to Terminal E. I was going full pelt, and it took me (at best) perhaps 17 or 18 mins.

After having landed at 5:45am, we arrived at Gate 47A about on schedule at around 6:15am. Tight, but I still had half a chance of running over to TBIT to secure my caffeine fix.

This is normally the worst flight of the entire trip. It's a red eye and I am at my most tired. I really want to sleep in a proper bed, and all I have to look forward to is a recliner.

I woke a little earlier than hoped at just after 1am, but it gave me the opportunity of dealing with some admin. Waking early in the morning when everyone else is still asleep is fab - it's like you have the world all to yourself.
