Bridal Veil Waterfall to Portland

Our next stop was our Starbucks breakfast stop just outside of Portland.  It was busy heading into Portland, with it being the largest city in Oregon, so there was a lot of traffic.  It was only another 20 miles down the road to Starbucks, so we were eating breakfast at a decent hour.

Portland to Lincoln City

It took us a while to get through Portland and onto the Oregon 99W/18W towards Lincoln City.  The drive just felt a bit messy; more complex than the last time we drove through here.  However, it was good once we were on our way heading – we saw the signs for Highway 101 and as we approached Lincoln City, it just felt like we were arriving…

We stopped off at a Subway in Lincoln City; Vick was starving; I had been munching on Haribo in the car.  Sandwiches are always good at Subway and the manager was very interested in our travel plans.

Lincoln City to Yachats

Once back in the car, we just had about an hour heading down Highway 101 to reach our final destination, Yachats.  It’s one of those places that become important to you; we have been here twice before and staying at the Overleaf Lodge is just one of those perfects places to be: the crashing of the waves on the shoreline, the ability to go to sleep listening to the ocean.  Wow – fab.
