J and I climbed over the top of the O2 at the end of Oct 2014 – great visit – something very different – really pleased we did it together.

Fairly dull end to my stay at the Admiral’s Club close to gate D30 in Miami. I decided to head down to the gate early after saying good night to Vick, so I could check out the neck cushions.

I had to turn around quickly and get back through Security and there was a huge queue. However I was patient and it probably only took 20 mins in the end.

Skype call using my headphones didn’t work properly - first second worked fine but then it cut out - I think this is a known issue with the microphone on the headset not working properly with Skype.

I’ve pre-booked 4 day WiFi vouchers with GoGo which are available from midnight on 14 Dec, so if I don’t immediately fall asleep on the next flight I can always connect to the internet and do some surfing. I’m expecting to use two on this trip and two on our holiday starting next week.

Well after I left my Global Entry interview at T4 I worked my way back to T8 and used the Fast Track to get through security. Found the Admiral’s Club and the Flagship Lounge. Thinking about popping out to get a Starbucks.

Woke at 05:30 just before my alarm was due to go off, having slept pretty well. The Hilton bed was very comfortable, but otherwise the Hilton wasn’t anything special.

Well having left about 10 mins late from Manchester, and arriving 10 mins early at Heathrow it was disappointing to have to sit on the apron for 15 mins whilst an aircraft got ready to leave the gate we were arriving at. Never mind.

The day has arrived - I’ve finished off my last bits of work before the weekend including attendance at the Service Review session this morning where one of my changes had caused a serious delay to financial reporting processing at a leading bank (I’m not proud of this by the way).
