We walked into town wanting to be tourists for a few hours. Monterey was heaving, but it was nice and warm and the sealions were out in force.

Having gotten back in the car, we headed up to the Golden Gate Bridge viewing areas – it was lovely and clear by this time.

Not too far to drive today: about 140 miles to Monterey. On the way, we plan to stop off at Sausalito, just to the north of San Francisco, over the Golden Gate Bridge.
