Holiday to Las Vegas in Dec 2013: Day 2 – Amsterdam (AMS) to London City (LCY) to New York (JFK)

We turned off the light fairly early (I think it’s our age!), and slept ok - fairly hard bed. Breakfast was the typical Hampton fayre which didn’t suit Vick that much.

The day has arrived. I’ve had two days at work in between my mileage run to Grand Cayman and this holiday, so I’m happy now that I’ve left things in a good state prior to being away for 3 weeks.

Very much looking forward to getting home now and seeing the missus. Due back at 16:30 and she’s got a special tea lined up for me.

In the DAA Exec lounge, and I’m leaving from gate 302 on BA0833 back to Heathrow next leaving at 08:55. So far the trip has gone according to plan and I hope the last two flights carry on that tradition.

Arrived a few mins early which I needed. Rushed to the Air Train to get to T4 and the Global Entry Enrolment Centre and T8 was packed.

I was booked on the 06:00 shuttle to the airport but I woke at 03:30 so move this forward to 04:30. This should allow me to get into the Centurion Lounge when it opened at 05:00.

Fairly dull end to my stay at the Admiral’s Club close to gate D30 in Miami. I decided to head down to the gate early after saying good night to Vick, so I could check out the neck cushions.
