Will be catching a flight from LAS to LAX at just after 5pm, then the overnight flight to MIA late on, arriving into MIA at 5:35am tomorrow.

So I am currently in the Centurion lounge at LAS having said my tearful goodbye to Vick and now waiting for my first flight to LAX.

I’ve been in the Centurion lounge a couple of times in my TP run before Christmas and initially was a little underwhelmed by the experience, but in describing the lounge to Vick I had to acknowledge that it probably is the best lounge I have ever used.

I really like the F lounge in T5, and I look forward to spending time there, but it’s fairly bog standard, whereas this place is the Apple of lounges in my view – i.e. it’s different, and stands out.

I’ve also not experienced the CCR yet so I don’t have anything to compare this place to.

So how can I describe the Centurion lounge?

Well this morning it was very busy indeed – we were lucky to get a couple of pods.

And a quick peak out on the apron – not a lot going on to be honest! Nice blue sky though!

Quick update to highlight that my first flight is subject to a fairly significant delay of over two hours, so I’m cutting my contingency right down for my connection at LAX. Keeping my fingers crossed all will go well.

So now arrived at LAX after a 2 hours 20 min delay, but still got some time to get in the Flagship Lounge and update the blog!

So this is our plane for the flight from LAS-LAX. The crew did really well turning it around in about 30 mins – very professional.

My one decent shot of the Las Vegas Strip – my Samsung S4 is awful for photos – I probably simply haven’t worked out how to get the most out of it. This is with the anti-shake on!

The flight was only 40 mins in the air – it’s not far from LAS-LAX, so I wasn’t offered much in the way of food and drink. Anyway this is what I got. The pretzels were horrible – I can’t imagine why anyone likes pretzels!

Next stop is Gate 42a for my flight from LAX-MIA overnight.
