We went down to London for the weekend to see the ATP World Tour tennis finals at the O2. We had a fab time with Sharon and Simon and saw Djokovic, Federer, Wawrinka and Nishikori.

I’ve pre-booked 4 day WiFi vouchers with GoGo which are available from midnight on 14 Dec, so if I don’t immediately fall asleep on the next flight I can always connect to the internet and do some surfing. I’m expecting to use two on this trip and two on our holiday starting next week.

Well after I left my Global Entry interview at T4 I worked my way back to T8 and used the Fast Track to get through security. Found the Admiral’s Club and the Flagship Lounge. Thinking about popping out to get a Starbucks.

Time to chill and earn some serious miles with BA and AA. This trip will take me from Manchester to Heathrow, over to Dublin where I stay at the airport Hilton, then it’s on to JFK in the morning where I have my interview to complete my Global Entry application.

Bit scary this - my first overseas trip by air on my own! At 47! I’ve always had someone in tow to rely on for finding my way around, or picking up things from hotel rooms when I have left them, and there’s no one but myself to rely on.

In some ways we are looking forward to getting back into a normal climate. We have started to get used to the heat in Las Vegas over the past few days so we will have a bit of a shock when we get off the flight at 6:30pm tonight.

Didn’t wake until 7:30am so a good night’s sleep was had by all! Started off with a swim in a nicely empty beach, and then we bagged two sun chairs for the following 6 hours until we returned.
