It was mad for pickups at the hotel, but my Grab taxi managed to wind its way through all of the other cabs. For less than £2, its just a no-brainer to avoid the walk and getting sweaty on the way.

I enjoyed one of the best nights sleep in this trip so far. Having turned the light out at around 9pm, although I did wake regularly, I didnt get up until 3:30am. Thats hugely impressive for me.

By this point, I could definitely feel that I was properly into the swing of things. Hong Kong had become something of a base for the Asia phase of my Round The World trip, and staying in the same hotel each time simplified everything enormously.

The ride back to the airport was very comfortable. It may have cost me double what I’d hoped to pay — thanks to having to book a Grab Premium — but given that it still only came to around £5, I wasn’t going to complain too loudly.

I slept fairly well — at least by my standards. I switched the light off at around 9:30pm and didn’t wake until about 2:30am. That might not sound like much to some people, but on a trip like this, it was plenty for me.

Having only climbed into bed at around 5am, it was entirely reasonable that today turned into a very gentle one. As a result, I didn’t actually do very much of any real consequence — and that was absolutely fine.
