Tier Point Run to Hawaii/San Juan in Nov 2014

Another TP run enjoyed in Nov 2014 – I flew out to Hawaii on a week long tier point run. From Hawaii I flew to/from San Juan and then I returned back to the UK.

I spent the afternoon back at the hotel. I popped up to the terrace to check that out and it was lovely. The other three joined the bus tour at Plaza del Duque de Victoria.

We didn't turn the light off until about 11:30pm and I slept through til about 4:30am. Vick did much better than me, waking at something like 7:30am.

After fighting with the baggage carousel, our priority baggage came out (almost) last. The baggage carousel system wasn't very intelligent and consequently, there were a number of collisions between bags being injected onto the carousel with bags that were coming around again, having not been collected first time.

There was only one passenger in the queue at First Check In, so it wasn't long before we were checking in our luggage. That's another odd thing to do - we haven't checked in luggage for years and I blame Andrew and Sam entirely.

It's unusual for us to be travelling on a Saturday, but a Saturday it was for our flight out to Seville. The plan was to have a leisurely start to the day and then we had vastly different expectations as to when we would leave home for our 4pm flight to Spain.

With Covid-19, the pandemic and lockdowns firmly behind us, this was the first time that we could get away with friends and family. With it being a big birthday bash for one of our party and a big age at that (!), we had to go somewhere warm in March, so The Vickster selected Seville.
