Having landed safely at T3, it was a long schlep to passport control. I’ve never arrived at the Virgin mini-terminal before, so that was a new one for me.
Passport Control was fairly busy, but I managed to find an automated passport kiosk without a queue. Another easy process.
I look back at all the hassle I had with having to « seek assistance » when the system failed to mark my passport as not relating to « that bloke we are looking for ».
Once through, I jogged out and just caught a T3 Business Parking bus. Perfect timing!
Once back at T3 Business Parking, I got off the shuttle bus at the first opportunity and walked around the fencing into the T5 Long Stay car park.
It’s a bit of a cheek to be honest: T5 Long Stay Parking is a lot cheaper than T3 Business Parking. But it was a means to an end for me.
The drive home was a wet one. I wanted to go via the M40, but there was a long queue to get on to the M25 from the M4, so I kept on driving.
I hate the M4. It seems to have been endured road works and 50mph speed limits for years. At least I didn’t suffer any further traffic issues before getting home.
I received a warm welcome from the Vickster and two kitties. I was looking forward to getting back into my normal routine.
