I was looking forward to the start of Lap 3 on my eight B2B mega TP run to Sofia (and back). It was another early start, which was the bit I wasn’t looking forward to.

My watch alarm woke me with a real jolt at 2:30 this morning, and I remembered to turn off my bedside alarm clock before struggling out of bed.

It didn’t feel too cold in the bedroom. The windows had been left closed, and that definitely helped keep the temperatures up.

By the time I had gotten dressed downstairs, I was feeling chilly. The kitties must have thought that Dad was on another bender, so they didn’t bother stiring.

I was on the road just after 2:45am. It was wet but quiet, and it turned into an easy drive into the T3 Long Stay car park.

There were fewer people on the Park and Ride bus today compared to two weeks ago, and of those onboard, all of them got off at T2. So, that left just me on until T3.

BA had emailed me early in the morning, warning me about potential delays to my outbound flight due to Storm Bert.

Based on what I could see from the weather forecast, it was more likely going to cause me an issue on the return.
