Tier Point Run to Sofia in Jan 2024: Day 3 – Home to London Heathrow
Another relaxing start to a Sunday morning and the start of the second phase of my TP run to Sofia and back. I’ll be heading over to Heathrow this morning, with my B2B to Sofia early this afternoon.
Whilst relaxing in our Cafe, we were playing with the idea of organising a 3-centre trip to Canada in September, flying into and out of Toronto, with a drive up to Montreal and potentially Quebec as well. Might just make a very nice 10-day trip.
Avios availability in Club World – BA do not offer First Class to Toronto for some reason, but they have the new A350-1000 aircraft which has the new CW suite onboard, so that’s almost on par with BA First Class anyway.
I left for the airport at 8:30am or so and the drive into Heathrow was pretty straightforward. As I had done two weeks ago, I stopped off at Beaconsfield for a Starbucks and I had to navigate around Heathrow so that I could get to the Hilton Garden Inn, Heathrow T5, which is where I would be staying overnight.
Another Sofia B2B was on the cards for tomorrow (Monday), so it was pointless me heading home. another night towards Hilton Diamond renewal for 2024 and taking advantage of cost effective parking.
I like the familiarity of the HGI and the tube journey from Hatton Cross to Heathrow T3, and by 9:45 I was walking towards Heathrow T3.
