Tier Point Run to Sofia in Jan 2024: Day 1 – Home to London Heathrow

Another relaxing start to the day, ahead of my first TP run of 2024. For a change, I had a lie-in! I didn’t wake up until almost 6am. The cats were not impressed!

The drive into Heathrow wasn’t too challenging. I stopped off at Beaconsfield for a Starbucks and I had to navigate around Heathrow so that I could get to the Hilton Garden Inn, Heathrow T5, which is where I would be staying overnight.

I was planning another Sofia B2B tomorrow (Monday), so it was pointless heading home. May as well gain my first night towards Hilton Diamond renewal for 2024, early for a change. Parking was relatively cheap for the night as well – £15.

It was just the normal tube journey from Hatton Cross to Heathrow T3 (one stop) and I was on my way along the travelators towards the new fast track scanners at T3.
