Tier Point Run to Sofia in Dec 2023: Day 1 – Home to London Heathrow

Another chilled out start to the day, although I was up earlier than I would have hoped.

Too many thoughts about performance issues that are a big challenge at work and which need to be sorted by midday on Tue, with no clear way of resolving them at this point.

Due to the cold weather, I have been triggering our heating to come on earlier than normal. It doesn’t seem to bother the moggies, but the Vickster and I enjoy a bit of warmth in the cafe along with our coffees!

I left the house at around 8am and although all reports suggested the temp was around -2 deg c, there was no extensive frost on the car, which allowed me to get on my way in a timely fashion!

The drive was easy enough and it was relatively clear. The normal access into T2/T3 Business Parking was closed, so I had to enter through the main entrance, heading in behind a mini-bus.

It was hellishly cloudy, which is evident from the video showing a BA short-haul flight disappearing into the clouds very quickly after taking off.

I had a good wait for over 5 mins before a bus arrived to pick me up, but I struck up a friendly converation with the driver, being the only passenger on board. On my way to Heathrow T3.
