My flight to JFK left from Gate 46B in the heart of the T4 bubble at the end of the pier. I was treated to the Concierge Key treatment at the gate when a petite Asian woman held a tablet up with my name on it. She told me I could pre-board ahead of group 1. On this flight there were no CK members and BA GGL members were selected to pre-board instead. Anyway, it was good to revel in the star treatment. Again, better than anything that BA does for me!
On board into seat 06F and we pushed back early. I enjoyed a few glasses of bubbly. Lunch was decent. AA seems to be making a much better attempt at delivering a nice salad. I then had the pasta which was ok – nothing more than that.
I managed to get a bit of shuteye, followed by a bit of onboard entertainment in the form of a movie: Arrival with Amy Adams and Jeremy Remmer. Classic Sci-Fi movie which didn’t really have a clear objective. Anyway, kept me entertained for a while.
Close to the end of the flight, the woman that was sat next to me moved up to First Class. Not sure what I did, but she clearly wanted a change of scenery, or a quick exit.
We arrived into Gate 7 at Terminal 8 and after navigating past a few slow-coaches, I whizzed through to the Air Train and on to Terminal 7 for my flight with BA.
