I woke at around 2am which wasn’t too bad for me.  Earliest Starbucks to open is 4am and is the one I have visited a few times, normally on a walk to Diamondhead.  That was the first planned event for the day.  This was my rest day so I needed to take it easy!  😊

On the walk to Starbucks, I was almost run over by some idiot who didn’t understand the concept of giving way to pedestrians crossing the road on a white light indicating that pedestrians have right of way.  It is the closest I have ever come to feeling like a car was about to hit me.  I was in the process of getting ready to jump to soften the blow when the driver screeched to a halt.

Breakfast opened at 6am.  Nice little diner in the corner of the building which accepts diners from outside as well.  I ordered a breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs but the scrambled eggs were hard and uninspiring!

I watched the grand prix from 7am.  I then walked out and took advantage of the dry weather – it was due to rain from 1pm for the rest of the time I was due to be in Honolulu.

I picked up another Starbucks at the HHV.  I was going to walk over to Ala Moana mall, but felt too tired, so headed back to the hotel to chill for a bit.

On the way back to the hotel, I stopped off at TCF for a lunchtime salad and a Sam Adams.  Really needed the greens.

The rest of the day seemed to drift by without doing anything too much.  I ended up ordering take out from a restaurant near by: chicken Caesar salad and fries.

I’ve done 28,000 steps today and my feet feel a bit worn out!  So, after watching SVU episodes back-to-back on TV, I turned off the light at around 8pm to see whether I could get some good quality sleep.
