Tier Point Run to Cancun in Jan 2014: Day 6 – Las Vegas Recovering

Slept pretty well waking at 7:30am. Work emails start to build up – 60 by the time I woke up!

Looked at flights and the latest concern about the cold weather hitting the North East of the US – little concerned about my chances of getting back to the UK in time for work on Thu.

Vick may be struggling as well if the cold weather continues to the end of the week. Chicago is worst hit right now with fuel supplies having frozen, and Vick flies via ORD on the way home.

The equivalent flights of mine but today are on schedule, so that’s a good starter indication, but the fact that AA has reported that 750 flights have been cancelled for today isn’t such a good omen.

I’ll have to keep an eye on flight status for the rest of today.

I also can’t check in on line right now – it won’t let me even though I am within the 24 hr check in period. I’ve rung AA and they confirm everything looks ok and they can only deduce that it’s a TSA check requirement which means I need to check in at the airport.

At Starbucks right now. The server recognised me which is nice.

Spoke to AA over the phone and they believe both the JFK and ORD issues will be over by end of play today, so all good to go for both Vick and my trips back home.

Went out to Panda Express at Galleria again. Nice…

Didn’t do much for the rest of the day. Went out late on for my regular trip to B&Js at the Sunset Station. Have also done a bit of basic washing to prepare for the trip home tomorrow.

Alarm set for 5:30am and I’ll probably turn the light out fairly early too.
