So I headed back to Hawaii for another Tier Point run in Feb 2016. There’s just something amazing about a quick trip over to Honolulu.

I didn’t spend too long in the LAX Flagship Lounge – just long enough to Skype Vick, grab something to eat and upload my photos onto the blog.

The staff here are always very helpful and friendly which is always appreciated.

Flight left from gate 42A which is only 100 yards from the lounge, and in fact for the first time by the time I had reached the gate they were already boarding. What’s all that about? No one told me boarding had started!

Well I’m not sure I can say a great deal about the flight since I dozed or was asleep all the flight. First time I have ever got a very attractive, tall young thing placed next to me rather than some pot bellied American who snores, or worst still a snorty Asian! She even had a British accent.

And I have to say the flight went very quickly. So we arrived ahead of schedule at gate D30, and it’s only 50 yards to the entrance to the D30 Admiral’s Club. So I was upstairs within a few mins and bumped into the same woman that helped me on trip no 1 – her name is Susie. We had a chuckle about my destination – she guessed I was heading back to Cancun.

Will have a look for something to eat and I’ll pop out and get a Starbucks this time, and wait in the queue!!! I’ll take some photos whilst out and about as well.

Instead of photos of the airport let’s assess my Starbucks MO. Firstly we have a correctly aligned Starbucks takeaway cup as seen in the photo below. That means the seams of the cup itself and the insulating wrapper need to be lined up. Then the opening in the lid needs to be on the opposite side, so when you lift the cup to drink from it, your fingers can feel the seams at the back.

Everyone knows I suffer from OCD – this photo demonstrates that! It has to be aligned every time.

And then there’s my Starbucks “name” – mine is Jim – it’s a lot simpler than my real name – perhaps sadly it’s my alter ego???

Interestingly it’s the strongest Caramel Macchiato I’ve ever had!!!
