Having left the aircraft first, I was on my way up the airbridge, when I heard "Mr Billingham" from an AA rep that was now behind me. I had to double back and take a boarding pass from her.

I was awoken abruptly by the alarm this morning - I was clearly in a deep sleep. I caught the 5am Hoppa Hotels bus and bypassed the e-ticketing system, which failed miserably over the last couple of days.

This trip is based on one of the latest good value trips, originating somewhere in Europe and ending in Spain. For some reason, this open jaw arrangement reduced an already relatively cheap trip by a few hundred pounds.

Another entertaining TP Run is on the cards: this time to Los Angeles. LA is not a normal destination for me, since it is usually just a connection point on the way to another US city.

We dropped the car at the Rental Car Center. There were no formalities - everything would be confirmed by email. I never feel assured by that arrangement!

At 3am in the morning, I followed up on Vick's request for a Three virtual eSim to use in her new iPhone 15. Miraculously, the eSim email arrived at 3am (8am UK time) on the dot, as was suggested on forums on the net.

As normal, the day started with a visit to Starbucks. It was my turn since Vick was coming down with a cold. The nearest Starbucks was about half a mile away, so it took about 10 mins to get there.
