Bit scary this - my first overseas trip by air on my own! At 47! Iâve always had someone in tow to rely on for finding my way around, or picking up things from hotel rooms when I have left them, and thereâs no one but myself to rely on.

Once we got the call to reboard, we were back on the plane within a minute, and it was only another 5 or 10 mins before we were taking off for JFK. I didnât notice the time, but it felt like we were about on time.

The hotel bed was very comfortable â I woke at 5:30 â a touch later than my normal time of waking â although I had two beers the previous night, and thatâs a lot for me on a school night.

Shouldnât be scary this one - Iâve done overseas trips on my own before (well once), and Iâve worn the t-shirt, and watched the video, and read the book etc. No big deal.
