Gate 148 was the best Gate to arrive at, without question. It did take a bit of time for the air bridge to be attached, but I was first off from door 2L and from there, I headed down two escalators and I was in the Border Control hall.

I was invited to join the First Check In agent at counter 9 of The First Wing (TFW). I asked her to check my passport and then look to see whether she could change my seat assignment for my LAX-JFK flight.

Photos from Day 8, when we drove from Rancho Mirage to Santa Monica for a charge up, lunch at The Cheesecake Factory at Marina del Rey and we caught our BA flight back to Heathrow.

A short shuttle bus to the Tom Bradley International Terminal, and we were soon heading through TSA Pre-Check. Once through, we headed straight into the Qantas First Lounge and found some relaxing recliner seats.

Our final day in a Trump-controlled US. We were due to fly back to Heathrow this evening, and all our activities today were geared towards getting on our BA flight back home.

We negotiated over the timing of the shuttle bus back to the terminal. I obviously wanted to catch the first bus at 4:30am and the Vickster wanted to catch the 7am.

The Vickster is looking forward to this one. Her first time visiting Indian Wells for the ATP/WTA Masters 1000 tournament. She has already completed her grand slam of the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open.
