The alarm woke us at 6am so that we could make an early start for the 3 hour trip to Death Valley. Made sure we filled up and made rapid progress for the first 120 miles or so.

Slept much better last night - took 2 melatonin pills and I managed to sleep through to 5am. Up working on the blog and no doubt Vick will awake soon.

A week into our holiday and it only seems like yesterday that we spent the night in Amsterdam! Not sure what we are going to do today - we may end up having a chilled out day at Liberty Station swimming pool.
