This was a new one for me: a TP run to Estonia via Heathrow and Helsinki. This was better value than my normal TP runs to Hawaii, so I doubled up on the excitement by doing a nested TP run.

So Filthy Monkey and I worked out a plan to meet up (very) briefly at Gate D50 just before I boarded my flight. In order to help identify him (and me) I made a simple sign.

I woke at 3:30am - much earlier than I hoped. The melatonin not working that well this time around. Got up to date with FT, and checked in on line for my next flights without any problems via aa.com.

I woke earlier than I had planned to - 3:30am - so I had over 4 hours kip, and as long as I don’t get any more screaming babies, I might be able to catch up on a few Zs on the flight to HNL.

So I now had the challenge of getting across New York from JFK to EWR. If you look at a map, the two airports are (roughly) equidistant from Manhattan and (roughly) on the same level.

I spent about an hour in the lounge at Brussels Airport - it’s an ok lounge but there’s nothing much going on - the views aren’t that great and the food/drink isn’t that good either.
