Having reorganised the remaining elements of my RTW trip, Phase 2 officially started off with a tame drive from home to Heathrow.
The day had started off calmly enough, although I had enjoyed far better sleeps than the one that I would rely on to get me through two long-haul B2B flights to/from Doha.
The cats were ravenous this morning and I decided it was in my best interests to feed them at 5:15 this morning rather than run the risk of them eating me alive.
Vick did the shopping run this morning, so I decided I may as well head on my way. I was looking forward to getting the show back on the road. It was the first time for me departing from Heathrow T4.
The drive was busier than normal, with at least two periods of significant crawling as masses of vehicles queued to exit the motorway at Reading and to get on to the M25.
The Park & Ride at T4 wasn’t too busy however. I chose a very tight space for some unknown reason. But from there, with a shuttle bus waiting for me, it was only a short trip to the terminal.
