Holiday Washington DC in Nov 2025: Day 8 – Charlottesville to Washington DC

It was another early start and another brief drive to Starbucks to pick up our coffees, whilst Madam chills in bed. Vick’s contribution was to open the door to our room when I came back with the goods!

It was the same server in Starbucks and she remembered all of my order this morning. It’s kind of nice building some sort of rapport with the locals.

We enjoyed our free breakfast in the hotel and whilst down there, we formulated a plan for the rest of the day.

Since the Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport was now open after the Government shutdown, we decided that would be our focus for the day.

There would be some faffing about thereafter to fill up with fuel, drop our bags at the hotel and then dump the car back at the Westin Downtown.

The late afternoon was focused on enjoying our final visit to The Cheesecake Factory (TCF).

After packing up, we got on the road and briefly stopped off at a Starbucks in Culpeper, before pushing on to Dulles.
