Holiday USA SW Road Trip in Apr 2022: Day 4 – Palm Springs

After another shower, we drove into Palm Spring for a coffee, some t-shirt shopping and some lunch.  We managed to find the multi-storey car park called “Downtown Parking” – not many cars parked at 10:30 this morning!

We walked up Palm Canyon Drive until we hit Tahquitz Canyon Way where we found the Starbucks Reserve store.  We ordered our second Starbucks of the day although it took an age for our drinks to appear.  Vick snagged a couple of seats outside in the shade which were great for people watching in the warmth of Palm Springs.

We walked across the road to visit Crazy Shirts, the shop we first came across in Hawaii.  I found a nice t-shirt; Vick decided to wait – she will try again in San Diego.  From there, we headed south and stopped off at Maracas Mexican Cantina for a spot of lunch, which was nice.

We crossed over the road and had a sweet pudding at Ben & Jerry’s where they had plenty of Strawberry Cheesecake available.  That was plenty for lunch!  We still had ideas about going out for a Thai meal later on! It was pretty hot by this point: 30 deg c.  So we headed back to Rancho Mirage and chilled out in the room to allow our lunch to settle.  We even managed a couple of hours of kip!
