We had an amazing offer! A BA sale fare from Copenhagen to New York (via Heathrow) for less than £950 in business class, and as an incentive for using Avios (as part payment) they offered to reduce the price by £500 in exchange for 30,000 Avios. Well we didn’t need a second chance at that one. Especially when we could also purchase 30,000 Avios for only £415! A great combination of offers for us, but a little bizarre from a BA perspective.That means we are heading out to New York in Aug 2016 and we will train it down to Washington for some time in the countryside!
