Our bodies were starting to adjust to the time difference. Hopefully, it would be enough for Vick to keep her eyes open for the tennis tonight!

Unfortunately, Vick had come down with a heavy cold, and it might just put the tennis at risk.

We did our normal early morning Starbucks visit at 4:30am. Another chilly morning – just 12 deg c. Worth the pain though.

We decided to grab our car and head to a local charging station so that we were fullish before our drive to Ranco Mirage.

We end up at a relatively slow charger, where we sat in the car for 45 mins, reaching just over 80%.

Once back at the hotel, we hatched a plan for the day, packed up, and headed down to the car.

We already had our car keys at this point since there was no valet available when we went out to charge the car earlier on.

Off to our favourite stop over at Temecula to visit the Starbucks there.

It took around an hour to reach Starbucks, where we enjoyed our normal drinks and some breakfast.

We had to pop into Walmart to pick up some drugs to deal with Vicks cold.

Then it was off to Anza, which was about half the way between Temecula and Rancho Mirage. We needed a quick topup to avoid the risk of running out of battery.

We arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn at Rancho Mirage around 11am, and although they didn’t have a room immediately available, we were in within about 30 mins.

Next stop was a visit to The Cheesecake Factory. We shared a plate of nachos and a lunchtime Santa Fe salad. I took home a lemon raspberry cheesecake for tea.

We have enjoyed so many visits to Palm Springs over the years. It brings back some great memories.

After a decent snooze back at the hotel, Vick got herself ready for going to the tennis. She had her see-thru bag.

It was only about 15 mins to Indian Wells Tennis Garden, and after a quick drop off at Gate 10, I drove back to the hotel to scoff my cheesecake.

Vick enjoyed the time she was at the tennis. She watched Alcaraz, but reached a point where she needed to come back to the hotel.

Disappointing, but hopefully, we will get another chance tomorrow, assuming the rains stay away.
