Holiday to Hawaii in Aug 2013: Day 10 – Maui
Didn’t sleep well last night. My phone vibrated with a call at around 1am and I couldn’t get back to sleep after that. So I planned out our route and stop offs for Hanna Road on Monday.
Decided to have a chilling day today, but also decided today was the only day we could really sunbathe, and that meant competing for a decent sun lounger spot and parasol. The number of message boards complaining of people reserving sun loungers with towels and then buggering off for the day meant that we needed to act fast and decisively, which we did.
We bagsied our loungers and parasol by 7:15am and then proceeded back up to the Club for continental breakfast just before 8am. Don’t worry we were back down by 9am after I had spoken with Suzzy from Mauri Snorkel Tours to finalize arrangements for our snorkeling on Sunday morning.
Most of the morning was spent on our sun loungers, or dipping in the very many pools we had access to. Very chilling indeed. When it came to lunch we checked out the lunch menu which could be served to you poolside, and we almost fell off our sun loungers into the pool! The prices were that expensive!
Anyway we fitted in a Starbucks run, and had lunch at the Marketplace which was very good and far more reasonable.
Planning on taking advantage of a BOGOF deal later after we have partaken in the normal cocktails and hors d’oeuve in the Club.
