Holiday USA SW Road Trip in Apr 2022: Day 8 – The Island Trail

After topping up on suntan lotion, we walked out over the London Bridge and onto the Island Trail which is a 3.6 mile walk around the island that is accessed via London Bridge.

Based on how quickly the heat builds here, we had to go first thing, otherwise we would probably have perspired halfway around!

We saw lots of new homes being built, including some fancy ones with two garage doors: one much taller than the other.  We could only conclude that the taller garage was to house a boat or something similar.

It wasn’t that inspiring, but we saw a lot of people on bikes who were doing laps and we said hello to loads of them.  It was a good excuse for some exercise.

We just about managed to walk back to the hotel before flaking out.
