Weekend in Stockholm in Aug 2023: Day 4 – Afternoon in Stockholm
After a fab river cruise, it was time to find some food in the beautiful city of Stockholm. Would it be pasta, pizza or a healthy salad? Ben & Jerry’s got our vote this lunchtime!
When we got back to the dock, Vick convinced me that we needed to go to Ben & Jerry’s ice cream parlour for a frozen lunch, which we did and we thoroughly enjoyed the treat.
We headed back to the hotel for a snooze, and Vick really needed a snooze!
Vick did some research into Thai restaurants and found the best Thai in Stockholm: Tjabba Thai. It was about 30 mins walk away and we headed off not long after 5pm.
The weather was lovely; it was a nice temperature and we took a different route through the Old Town.
Eventually we ended up in a more touristy area, with more hotels and more restaurants than where we were. Good to see another side to Stockholm.
We got a nice table in the window and ordered two pina coladas to start our meal. We have enjoyed some amazing Thai meals whilst on holiday in the past, and this one was another.
For starters we ordered a main course of chicken satay, which we shared. Plenty of satay sauce and it was delightful.
For main course, Vick ordered a mild red curry and I ordered a beef dish with garlic and vegetables. Bother were amazing and very much appreciated.
Overall, a great meal out, but probably the most expensive Thai meal we have ever had.
Headed back to the hotel the way we came and enjoyed the early part of the sunset.
Looking forward to heading home tomorrow.
