Once we were allowed into the lounges, I settled down in the CCR and resisted the temptation of indulging in a fabulous CCR breakfast. I decided I would enjoy the onboard BA breakfast instead.
I couldn’t resist picking up a Starbucks, which always goes down well.
As normal, I left my rucksack, and my hat at CCR left luggage and headed down the Gate A11 about 45 mins before scheduled deoartures.

Everything looked on time, and gate arrival continued to look good. Due to arrive into Gate 307A, which is the best gate to arrive in the Rotunda.
I could only hope everything continued to look positive for my B2B.
Boarding had already started when I arrived at the gate, so I approached the staff member checking boarding passes before entering the tensa barrier queuing system.
When the lady realised I was Group 0, I was shepparded past the priority boarding queue to the front. My boarding pass was scanned, passport checked and into the waiting area at the top of the escalator.

Another success for the Group 0 boarding process.
On board into my favourite seat. I thought I might need to start rubbing my legs to get them warm ahead of the run I planned from the top of the airbridge, through Dublin airport to get back to Gate 307A in time for reboarding. I decided not to…
Before we pushed back, which was about on time, the BA832 (the flight to Dublin before mine) arrived into Gate 301, which is the gate furthest from flight connections. I checked my flight, and it had similarly switched to Gate 301 as well. So, if that stuck, then it would mean a fair old jog for me on arrival…
On to the taxiway, aiming for runway 09R, we nicely bypassed a number of other aircraft, and we were allowed to take off 15 mins after pushing back. That’s pretty good for Heathrow.
Bit of a murky day out there with low-lying cloud. We banked to the right over south London and headed NW towards Dublin.
There was no curtain in place separating Business from Economy. I’ve not seen that for a long time.
I ordered a tea as the drinks service progressed up the aisle. I was looking forward to breakfast as I was famished by this point.

Service was unbelievably slow. The pax in 1D had a breakfast tray; the guys in 1A/1C were working. I had to ask for breakfast.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed when it finally arrived! It was overcooked; left in the oven way too long.
The only half-decent thing to come out it was a bacon barm, which was passable for a breakfast snack.
They were still handing our breakfast trays when the seatbelt sign came on for landing at Dublin!

We landed in good time, so arrived early into Gate 302. Note minor change to Gate assignment slightly closer to flightconnections.
It took a while to get the door open, which was 09:44. I informed the crew that I would see them shortly (they were staying on the aircraft). I then started running!
