We were all concerned about what Passport Control would be like after arriving behind two buses of passengers from the Ryanair flight.
So, after hopping off the bus at Non-Schengen Arrivals, we jogged to Passport Control, and to be honest, most of the Ryanair passengers were going through the Schengen side, with about 10 in each of the two “other passports” queues.
At that point, I was pretty confident about the B2B already, so I wasn’t going to bother queue-jumping.
But Gary decided he would politely ask whether we could jump ahead, which saved us at least 6 or 7 mins waiting in the passport queue.
Every few mins saved, might just help us get back to the gate in time. So well done to Gary for giving us a push.
Through baggage reclaim, back up into security. Security was OK, too.
Five mins, and we were through there, and then it was just the final passport check at the non-Schengen border point.
By the time we got back to Gate B5, some boarding had started, but there were a lot of passengers waiting to board.
It looked like they had called the priority groups, so we joined the back of the queue of passengers waiting to board on the airbridge.
Back on into seat 01F, and we said our hellos to the same cabin crew that had served the flight out from Heathrow.
It wasn’t a surprise for them to see us again.
Menus were handed out again. It seems to be the norm on this route.
The menu showed that it was the same food as last weekend, so roast chicken for me again.
It looked like the chicken had been in the oven a tad too long as well. However, that didn’t stop me from demolishing it.
In terms of entertainment for the flights today, it was primarily a Take That music day. So many tremendous melodies. That Gary Barlow certainly knows how to write a song.
We arrived into Heathrow a good time ahead of schedule. After landing, we had to wait for a Finnair aircraft to leave the cul-de-sac before we could reach our stand.
We arrived at Gate 11, and from there it was a quick dash out to Passport Control, which was empty.
On my way home once again!
