I jogged across the front of T3 and down the steps to head to the tube.

My jogging paid off as I just caught a train on the way into Central London. That was a bonus.

Five mins later, I was walking up the steps at Hatton Cross tube heading down to the hotel to collect my car.

I did have one of those very awkward old-person stumbling moments when jogging up the steps at Hatton Cross.

I couldn’t decide whether I would jump up 2 or 3 steps, and my brain and legs didn’t communicate the outcome of that debate fast enough.

Consequently, I stumbled and was very embarrassed in front of the station team. They asked me whether I was ok, like they would do if an old person had stumbled over! Oh dear…

Back to the car and rather than head around the hotel along the A30 and up the A4 (as the sat nav suggested), I decided to drive past Heathrow.

I ended up heading back along the M4 due to the traffic heading north, which is always at a standstill.

I was back home by 3pm and time for a cup of tea. Lap 2 complete – looking forward to Lap 3 next Saturday!
