From T3 Arrivals, I scooted out through customs and out into the very cold air of the UK. Along the corridors to the tube station and I had to wait 5 mins for a train to take me to Hatton Cross.

Last night I had to wait the exact same amount of time. Unusual how things sometimes work out.

Three mins later or so, I emerged at Hatton Cross and walked down the road to the Hilton Garden Inn, presented my ticket to Reception and paid for my parking. £15 for (effectively) two days parking is a good deal.

The drive back home was very easy, doing my best to avoid the speed cameras. On the basis of how cold it was, I thought it was prudent to go the M4/A34 way. Not much traffic on the road meant I was home within the hour.

I got a lovely welcome home into a nice warm house.
