Tier Point Run to San Jose in Nov 2023: Day 8 – Dublin DUB to London Heathrow LHR
Running like a cheetah, I was lucky to find no one at passport control, so I was straight through, and no one in the queue for fast track security.
By the time I got back to Gate 204, boarding hadn’t started but there was a big queue for Group 1-3.
When boarding started, they called for Group 1 only, which was nice to hear, but of course passengers in Groups 2 and 3 were in the way. The age-old problem with BA boarding.
When I got back onboard, I had a laugh with the cabin crew.
I had to sit in my alternative front row seat, 01A, since another regular was sat in my seat.
We had the other seats in row 1 empty, which was nice.
The team did a good job at turning the aircraft around, and we were soon on our way to Heathrow.
The meal service was afternoon tea. Rather than go for the salmon sandwiches, I went for the veggie option.
One bun contained feta cheese and pickle, which was very nice. The other two were odd. That’s the best I can say.
Then came the warm scone with jam and cream, which was lovely.
The final thing was gorgeous. I think it’s called a battenberg cake.
We arrived into Gate 23 at T5 having caught up most of the time. Good result.
