Tier Point Run to San Jose in Nov 2023: Day 6 – San Jose – Afternoon
After getting back to my car, I decided to seek out another Starbucks. I had been thinking about food for most of the walk back from Vasona Lake.
I had considered The Cheesecake Factory, Subway and Panda Express.
But then I remembered I hadn’t had my second Starbucks of the day and I could easily pair that up with a double bacon cheese and egg sandwich.
So found a Starbucks about 2 miles down the road, which was an ideal opportunity to catch up with Vick and her struggles back home.
Luckily the cats were behaving themselves!
I finished off at Starbucks and headed to the Hilton Garden Inn, San Jose Airport – I was checking in here for my final night in San Jose.
I was happy with a standard king room this time and they had a room available at just after midday.
They tried to charge me $15 for parking, which I resisted. I didn’t pay last time, so I wasn’t going to pay this time either.
In the afternoon, after saying good night to the Vickster, I drove to the Westfield shopping mall at Stevens Creek Boulevard.
The intention was to find something nice for Vick, but all I really found were socks!
There was a sock shop that contain loads and loads of different characterised socks.
Wow – it was some sight.
On the basis that I have been barred from buying socks, it was a no-no for a present on this occasion.
At this point, it seemed rude not to pop into The Cheesecake Factory!
Something different for this visit. I ordered the starter nachos together with the Korean chicken, knowing that I would only eat a small amount in the restaurant.
I could bag the rest up and eat it in my room in the evening.
Back to the hotel and I started on my “to go” as soon as I got into my room.
