I’ve not had a very early start ahead of a trip for a long time. I often stay at a hotel the night before nowadays. Today I was up not long after 3am. That’s an early start!
It’s been undeasonably warm recently, and this morning was another warm start to the day. It was 10 deg c. That’s warm for mid-Feb!
The one thing we don’t seem to be able to get away from in the UK is the rain, and I woke to the sound of the pitter-patter on the velux windows overlooking our cafe. That’s a wet start!
Quick shower, got dressed, finished off packing, and off to the car for the hour’s drive to Heathrow.
My car was close to full after charging overnight. Good ol Intelligent Octopus tariff working a treat to create a charging plan, adding in extra cheap rate slots as required.
The roads were quiet. I think I saw two other vehicles on the road for the first 20 mins before I reached the M40.
There are certainly benefits of working in a different timezone!
It was wet all the way, and as I drove into T5 Business Parking, I drove past a shuttle bus waiting to leave. There were plenty of spaces available, so I dumped the car and jumped on the bus on my way to Heathrow T5. There’s no point in hanging around!
