Tier Point Run to Grand Cayman in Dec 2013: Day 2 – New York (JFK) to Las Vegas (LAS)
Well after I left my Global Entry interview at T4 I worked my way back to T8 and used the Fast Track to get through security. Found the Admiral’s Club and the Flagship Lounge.
Thinking about popping out to get a Starbucks.
Started off with a Pumpkin and Apple soup which was lovely – food is never that hot unfortunately though in lounges is it! I then found a clam chowder and everyone knows it’s one of my favourites.
Charging my batteries for the next set of flights (literally not metaphorically). I’ve got a 4 hour wait here and then a 5 hour flight to Vegas.
To kill some time I popped out to Starbucks to get my first fix of this trip. And whilst I was out I stumbled across this mural on the wall of the terminal which is well impressive.
Flight to Vegas was fine – staff were relatively attentive, but I did encounter a very snorty Asian in the row in front – the sort of guy who thinks everyone wants to hear him clear his nose, throat and lungs. Charming.
Watched a film about Steve Jobs and Apple which was interesting – similar storyline to The Social Network. Kept to water this time to avoid multiple trips to the loo!
Arrived on time and within 5 mins of getting off found the Centurion Lounge and was lying in a very comfy lounger thing. It is nicer than other lounges I have been in, but I’m not sure it’s worth the rave reviews others have been posting.
Waiting for the last flight of today to Miami which is due to leave in two hours time.
