Tier Point Run to Cancun in Jan 2014: Day 8 – London (LHR) to Manchester (MAN)

First Lounge never fails to please – not too busy today, and food was top quality as normal. I had the Thai Chicken Curry with rice, but they had the pork and red cabbage again (which is also really nice with crackling).

Had a conversation with a recruitment agent which looks promising. Headed off to gate 6 for my MAN flight with about 40 mins to go – it takes about 10 mins to get to the gate!

I dozed most of the flight, and this is the only flight I wasn’t in the first few rows, and it makes such a difference. I was in row 11 which was an emergency exit row, so I paid careful attention to the safety briefing.

It took people so long to get out of the plane when the doors opened it was untrue! By the time I got to the baggage reclaim the bags still weren’t there, so I was glad that I hadn’t offered to give up my case to create more room.

I had rung ahead to make sure my car was going to be available early and it was. Car feels a bit lethargic, but it got me home and the house was in fine fettle. Washing now on.
