I woke earlier than I had planned to - 3:30am - so I had over 4 hours kip, and as long as I don’t get any more screaming babies, I might be able to catch up on a few Zs on the flight to HNL.

So I now had the challenge of getting across New York from JFK to EWR. If you look at a map, the two airports are (roughly) equidistant from Manhattan and (roughly) on the same level.

Well just days to go now, and I’m getting prepared for my long trip. Itinerary has been printed; flight bookings printed; hotel bookings printed; maps to get me across London, and across NYC printed; and I’ve got my ESTA, Global Entry and travel insurance details printed as well.

Got to gate D21 about 45 mins before departure and it wasn’t long before they called First class to board. This was my new favourite plane - the 763 - favourite only because they hand out tablets for entertainment.
