It was great to see James this morning at home. He stayed over with us last night, on the way to an all day business meeting in Chipping Norton.
When I explained what I was doing in my retirement, he thought I was nuts as well!
Last night wasn’t the best night’s sleep I have ever had! But it was nice spending time with my bestie, especially considering I’ll be away from her for almost three weeks.
We hit the road at around 10am. We headed to the Oxford Supercharger to get an urgent top-up and a much needed Starbucks.
The M25 was horrible. It was really busy and the weather was awful, so driving wasn’t great. I drove down and Vick would be driving home.
We parked in T5 Long Stay and grabbed the shuttle bus to T5. In front of The First Wing, we had a selfie and shared a big hug.
We both knew that we were going to miss each other big time, but the Vickster was going to be really busy whilst I was away, and I hoped the regular video calls that we were going to have over the next 3 weeks would comfort her in me being safe.
I walked into The First Wing (TFW) and the start of our 3 weeks of being apart commenced.
