RTW TP Run in Jan 2026: Day 12 – Late Evening in Hong Kong

I was already settling into a routine with my late arrival into Hong Kong and my need to travel to the Regala Skycity airport hotel.

On this occasion, it was relatively nice and easy, having learnt how to speed through the arrivals process.

Although I was the last business class passenger off the aircraft, I quickly zoomed past other passengers on the way down to wait for the next train that would take passengers back to immigration.

I had worked out where to stand and the need to get to the escalator before those with wheelie bags would clog the way up/down.

Consequently, I was first to arrive into the immigration area and there was no one in the Visitors queue. So I was through in no time at all.

Then, I had to deal with the Airport Express and since there was a train waiting to leave, I jumped on board. When it arrived at AsiaWorld Expo, I knew I had to head to Exit A to pay for a ticket, and then head back to Exit B, so that I could use the covered walkway to get to the hotel.

I was in my room by 10pm, which I was pretty impressed by. I caught up with the Vickster and then after a quick shower, it was time for bed.

I had an early start tomorrow with my first flight leaving at just after 9am.

It was also going to be a long and potentially stressful day dealing with checking in for flights with Japan Airlines at Jakarta.
