I enjoyed one of the best nights sleep in this trip so far. Having turned the light out at around 9pm, although I did wake regularly, I didn’t get up until 3:30am. That’s hugely impressive for me.
That gave me time to do some admin and to think through the final days of this humongous trip.
Part of that was a second review of my clothing situation. With Vicks comments ringing in my ears “I don’t want to pick up a smelly husband next Monday”, I allocated a bag for the cleanest clothes I had. Everything was now in a “for recycling” bag. Read into that what you will!
I chatted with Vick and she was on the verge of heading up to bed. I was in the process of getting up. It all seemed very odd.
I had debated about what to do first: breakfast which started at 6:30am or Starbucks which opened at 7am. I decided to get some steps in and head to the airport.
It was warm at 6:30am, but there was a cool breeze blowing, which meant the walk back to the airport was lovely. So refreshing. It also didnt feel that humid either.
I enjoyed a wander around the airport, before grabbing my favourite drink and relaxing in the spacious and aur conditioned Starbucks store located opposite Domestic Arrivals.
Heading back to the hotel was a different matter. It was already warmer; the sun was breaking through and by the time I had gotten back to the hotel it was time for a shower. I was pleased I had worn my less fresh clothes for my exercise.
Breakfast was as good as always. I started off with toast and then progressed on to some noodles, nasi goreng with a black bean and pepper sauce. Gorgeous.
Whilst I relaxed with a latte by the pool, a member of staff brought me another present thanking me for my diamond membership.
Wow! I could get used to this sort of service!
I chilled out in my room for the rest of the morning, getting myself ready for my flight back to Hong Kong.
I had negotiated a late checkout of 1pm. However, it decided I may as well order a Geab taxi at midday and see whether Cathay Pacific may start checking passengers in early.
Next up: My flight from Denpasar (DPS) to Hong Kong (HKG) on Day 18 of my Round The World trip of a lifetime.
