After a half-decent sleep was enjoyed by the both of us, we were looking forward to some time in Shenandoah National Park today.
As always when on holiday in the US, we started off with an early morning Starbucks.
On this occasion, our local store was located about 15 mins down the road, although it meant walking alongside and crossing a very busy highway.
So the walk wasn’t that enjoyable.
The inside of the store was very attractive and to some extent it made up for the noisy walk.
Breakfast was a combination of the free in-house Homewood Suites breakfast, where we stocked up on milk and jam, together with yogurt and fruit back in the room.
On the basis that there were English muffins on offer, I had to enjoy one of my favourite breakfast dishes: muffins, butter and grape jelly. Yum yum…
We got ourselves together, packed our bag and headed to the car to drive to Shenandoah National Park.
