A week into our holiday and it only seems like yesterday that we spent the night in Amsterdam!

Not sure what we are going to do today – we may end up having a chilled out day at Liberty Station swimming pool.

We stuck to the free continental breakfast at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, which was fine – reasonable choice of food.

We popped over to CVS to get further medical supplies – Vick’s got a sore throat and a dodgy knee, so it’s a throat spray and a knee support for her.

Checked out around 10am and decided to head to the Old Town – we parked at the Transit Center where the parking was free and walked into the Historic State Park which was interesting – we hadn’t seen it previously when we have visited SD.

We found the Mexican restaurant we have previously eaten at, and we had lunch which was top notch. It was a beautiful temperature – we were sat in the shade and it was just right.

After checking out some of the shops that seemed to all sell similar “I love San Diego” t shirts, we headed back to the car and on to Liberty Station.

After checking in, and settling into our suite, we got that nice feeling of being somewhere comfortable.

We decided on a home-made dinner since our suite had cooking facilities etc, so we went to Vons just down the road and stocked up on cheeses, baguette and wine. Found this massive sandwich, listed as 32oz!

We ate watching “About Time” which is the new Richard Curtis British film, which is very good, heart warming film about a time-travelling ginge.

It’s a bit of a rip-off of Groundhog Day in many respects, but has an interesting twist.

And that took us to the heady heights of 9pm and the bed was calling us. So ends another day in the US.
