Vick slept really well, and she needed it. Still full of cold, but a little more rested.

We drove out to a local charging point, which was conveniently located close to our local Starbucks. What a combination, when you have a rental EV!

The Starbucks store was open to sit-ins, so having connected up to the charger, we relaxed in the store with our drinks.

Charging seemed to be very slow, as with all of our charging on this holiday. To charge up from 40% to 90% took almost an hour using CCS.

Not sure whether that’s down to slow chargers or a slow charging car.

It was a wet and cool morning, with no signs that it would improve during the day. As a result, we decided we needed to focus on Vick’s recovery from her debilitating cold.

Breakfast was enjoyed at the hotel. Hilton Garden Inn always offer good options. At this hotel, that meant for $16.99 we got a hot dish plus access to the hot buffet and continental spread. We had our $10 credit per person as well, so we filled our boots.

To get the day off to a good start, we drove to Michael S Wolfson Park, which offered access to the Butler Abrams Trail, which was a flat walk through an attractive garden and into a wash.

It was nothing too exciting, but it gave us an opportunity to stretch our legs without any hills.

From there we headed into Palm Springs and parked at the Downtown Parking Garage.

It had started to throw it down by this point, so we got a little wet walking along the streets.

We found Crazy Shirts and bought some new gear. Vick found a pharmacy and I grabbed a table outside at Starbucks.

Unfortunately, Vick wasn’t allowed to buy the over-the-counter meds to soothe her cold without a passport.

After enjoying our coffees, we headed back to the hotel to pick up Vick’s passport and CVS was our next stop.

Although Vick had to compromise on off-the-shelf meds, our visit led to the purchase of some chocolate and ice cream, that we planned for our lunch.

By this point, we had decided to forego the tennis this evening. Vick wasn’t feeling great, and from her seat yesterday she could hardly see anything. This evening we were due to be even further back from the action.

Lunch was enjoyed in our room watching the Liverpool v PSG game, which didn’t go our way. But we did enjoy our ice cream.

Later on, we walked out to Outback Steakhouse for an early dinner and enjoyed some fabulous steaks.

I finally get the chance to enjoy a Sam Adams seasonal beer to boot!

We were heading home tomorrow, so next focus was on planning our activities to get us back to LAX with a fully charged car after our final visit to Tge Cheesecake Factory!
