Holiday to Hawaii in Aug 2013: Day 18 – London Heathrow LHR to Manchester MAN (via Brussels BRU)

Arrived back at Heathrow earlier than scheduled at 6:15am. We were first off upper deck due to being in row 64 – definitely my favourite row! Off and through fast track flight connections quickly, although security checks were dog slow – they were complaining that people were leaving liquids in their bags, and this was slowing everything down. Looked to me like they weren’t pushing bags through quickly enough.

Grabbed showers in the BA lounge which was nice, although noisy and fairly cramped. No where near as nice as the arrivals lounge in Frankfurt. Got a good hearty breakfast in the First lounge too. Hearty = carb-loaded.

Short flight back to Brussels went fine. Vick managed to sleep most of the way. I’ve got us through flight connections avoiding checking in again and having to check in our bags for our SN flight back to Manchester.

Vick’s cursing me for booking this cheap ex-EU flight with American Airlines. Now stuck in Brussels and we have a 5 hour wait before our trip back to Manchester. Vick’s struggling with feeling unwell and jet lagginess.
