Holiday to Hawaii in Aug 2013: Day 16 – Los Angeles LAX to Washington IAD

We agreed to get up at 7am to help move our bodies with the moving time zone – I’ve just got up at 6:30am so I will see what sort of response I get from Vick in 30 mins!

We have been given a room in the University Wing at Hilton Garden Inn – El Segundo. It’s where they test out new ideas for Hilton room facilities (apparently). I can’t believe we were here (just over) one year ago – seems like an age. Nothing seems to have changed but it’s still a nice place to stay.

Brisk walk to the Starbucks at the end of the road got us moving and then on to the airport into the Admiral’s Club – Flagship Lounge to await our flight to DC. I’m coming down with a cold which is making the descents painful for the old ears.

Got into IAD late and waited for the shuttle to take us to Hilton Dulles hotel, which is surprisingly nice – rooms are a little old feeling, but overall good hotel. Looking forward to Segway tomorrow morning.
